Bridal Party
Barbara and the Bride met in high-school in 1994, and have been stirring up trouble ever since. The 2 have lived together on the East and West coasts and have been there for each-other through many happy and difficult times. Barbara has been a great support and good friend to the Bride for a long time, and the Bride is very excited to have her as her Maid of Honor.
The two Alex's friendship dates back to a time when they were both in 5th grade. They have been inseparable ever since. Alex, who was recently married himself, had the Groom serve as his Best Man. Ah, how quickly the tables have turned. Looks like it's time for Alex to return the favor.
Groomsman - Alex Umansky
Having first met in college, these two Alex's (yes, another Alex) instantly bonded over a common interest in music and DJ'ing. They quickly discovered their many other common interests and their friendship grew stronger. Having accompanied him on many a voyage, it is only fitting that Alex be there as the Groom sets off on the most important voyage of his life.
Maritza and the Bride became fast friends, when Maritza and her son Ian moved to NY from Peru in 2006. Maritza has a great sense of humour and she has the ability to make any situation entertaining. Maritza, her boyfriend Andres, and Ian are all making the trip up from Peru to come to the wedding! The Bride and Groom are excited to spend time with them in September!
Groomsman - Ilya Miloslavskiy
Though Ilya and the Groom have been friends since freshman year of college, it was only eight years later, when they moved into a small apartment in NYC that they became really close. Ilya was there when the Bride and Groom first met, went on their first date and first vacation, and survived nearly a whole year living with the two of them in that that same tiny NYC apartment (bless his soul). He will now be there to usher them into the next stage of their lives.
Bridesmaid - Marina Rusanov
Marina is the Groom's younger, trendier, spunkier, fashionista sister. She's been trying to make her big brother cooler and more fashionable since she was a teen (not that long ago). She's happy to have relinquished most of this great burden to her future sister-in law over the last five years.
Ronen and the Groom met a very long time ago, back when they were both just wee little (well, actually Ronen wasn't really that little) freshmen in college. They have both grown (bellies mostly) and matured since. But what has grown the most is their close bond of friendship.
Groomsman - Noah Voumard
Noah is the Bride's cultured younger brother who has been living over-seas in Switzerland. Dania is sad because she sees her brother way too rarely these days but is thankful for those 2 brilliant Estonians who invented Skype. The Bride and Groom are very honoured that Noah is making his first NY debut in 2 and 1/2 years for their wedding!
Oraibi is the Bride's older brother who is responsible for introducing her to the Groom five years ago. In the beginning Oraibi wasn't too thrilled about his younger sister dating one of his friends, but he soon came to realize that the Groom was a stand up guy and would treat his sister well. The Bride feels lucky that she has a caring older brother who has always looked out for her best interest. And the Bride and Groom are excited to have Oraibi stand by them as a groomsman in their wedding.
Ring Bearer - Ian Bedoya Voumard
Ian is the 5, soon to be 6, year old nephew of the Bride. Ian is a multi-talented and multi-lingual young boy. He is a champion swimmer and martial artist, and is sure to be an excellent ring boy! The Bride and Groom are super excited that Ian is flying all the way from Peru to be a part of the wedding!
Disclaimer: On this page Dania and Alex refer to themselves as the Bride and Groom, not to be arrogant but because their are 2 other Alex's in the wedding party and it would become confusing without clarification.
